Winky, thats the best logic that I have heard yet on why NJ will win the Cup. Perhaps a name change to Winkydevil is in order for you to celebrate a Jersey win.
The more I think about the reasons NJ is going to win (see post started by Tedy) the more I think the layoff is going to hurt Anaheim. This team was rolling right alon and playing such great hockey that the layoff is going to put some rust on their game. Jersey being the expierenced and veteran team will take advantage of that rustiness and win this thing.

teddy - i am rooting for the ducks since i know someone who works for them - but i am also rooting against them for canning my ass after their first year (i worked on the game day stats crew - and that is partly how i got my name - winkyduck).
i have tix for all 3 games in anaheim - but will only attend G4 and maybe G6. since fullerton is hosting a regional i will be there saturday instead of at the pond and if we host a super regional the next weekend i will also be at goodwin field instead of the pond if the 2 conflict!

Giguere at +150 to win the conn smythe is not a good bet in my mind, it might actually even be considered a sucker bet, if you think about it. The ducks can be had to win the cup at at least +140, probably higher at some places. So suppose they are at +150 somewhere, which they proabably are. Giguere will not win the smythe unless the ducks win, but, while its not likely, the ducks can win the cup and have someone else win the conn smythe. at basically the same odds, you can get the ducks to win or the ducks to win and giguere be named mvp. seems to me the better play is to take the ducks to win, while the square play is to look at the amazing play of giguere so far this postseason and take him to win the conn smythe.
